Metal Patina Workshop
Join us for a hands-on, three-hour Metal Patina Workshop, where we’ll explore the captivating art of patina on metals like aluminum, brass, steel, and copper.
Designed for anyone curious about creative metalwork, this workshop lets you dive into the magic of oxidation and color transformation. You’ll learn to prepare metals with essential surface treatments and apply diverse techniques to achieve striking patina effects. Guided by an expert, you’ll also experiment with unique oxidization methods that produce beautiful, one-of-a-kind finishes. Finally, we’ll cover the critical steps of sealing, preserving, and protecting your work for lasting results. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced in metal arts, this workshop promises a space to experiment, create, and play with colors and textures.

Materials needed:
• Metal plates (aluminum, brass, steel, and copper) or any items made from these materials.
• Scotch Brite
• Chip brush ½ or 1 inch
• Latex gloves
*Chemicals will also be provided.

Maurizio Pellegrin Lecture Series
A series of lectures designed to provide a comprehensive survey across many artistic disciplines. These lectures consider a large and complex field that cover centuries. The scope is to offer a general idea of the major phenomena in Western art. Each lecture is supported by a large amount of visual aids.

Working with Paper Pulp Workshop Series
This 4 - week workshop provides an introduction to learning about the unlimited ways of making works with paper and paper pulp . A variety of techniques and fibers will be explored including both traditional and non-traditional papers, unusual fibers, and adhesives. Participants will learn techniques to create both 2 and 3-Dimensional works and will be offered several resources for working in this medium.

Making a Coptic Stitch Watercolor/ Sketch Book
This workshop will guide students through the process of making a coptic stitch book with watercolor paper, although other types of paper would work as well. Coptic stitch binding allows a book to open flat and provides a comfortable work surface, which is great for working en plein air. It also provides the opportunity to customize a sketchbook in terms of preferred scale and paper.

Online Tools: Opportunities for Artists
Join our comprehensive 2-day online workshop designed to help artists discover and seize opportunities.
This onsite session will guide you through identifying and applying for calls for entries, artist residencies, grants, and more. You will learn techniques for researching and finding opportunities that align with your artistic goals, understand the application process, and how to tailor your submissions. The workshop will also cover the essential materials you need to have ready, including images of your artwork with captions, an artist statement, a bio, and a CV.
Day 1 will focus on an overview of available opportunities, research strategies, and creating and organizing application materials.
Day 2 will delve into crafting compelling applications, selecting and presenting your best work, and providing personalized feedback on your materials.
